Vaillant is the boiler installers tend to put in their own houses. German-engineered, exceptionally quiet, and built to a standard you notice if you have lived with a noisy boiler.
Three things come up repeatedly: build quality, quietness — which matters in a flat or where the boiler sits near a bedroom — and modulation, meaning it adjusts its output rather than cycling on and off.
It is the most expensive of our three options and we will not pretend otherwise. For a rental flat it is more boiler than the job needs. For a family home you intend to stay in, it is the one we would fit for ourselves.

It is quiet, well built and it modulates properly instead of cycling on and off — which you notice in a flat, or anywhere the boiler sits near a bedroom. It is the one a lot of engineers fit in their own homes, and we will say so plainly rather than steer you to whatever we have in the van.

From £3150 fitted for an ecoFIT Pure 825C, including removal of your old boiler, a system cleanse, the filter and commissioning.
In our experience yes, noticeably so, and it is the main reason we recommend it for flats and for any installation near a bedroom. If boiler noise has bothered you in your current home, this is the range to look at.
The ecoFIT Pure is Vaillant’s more accessible range — same manufacturer, simpler specification. The ecoTEC Plus has wider modulation and the build quality the brand is known for. We fit the ecoFIT Pure at 25kW and 30kW and step up to the ecoTEC Plus above that.
They are both excellent boilers and you would not be making a mistake with either. Vaillant edges it on noise and build; Worcester edges it on brand recognition. If you are staying put long term and the boiler is near a living space, we would lean Vaillant. Otherwise it is close enough to come down to price.
